A total of over 400 students at NYGH, a local premier girls’ school was taught how the different characters, Chilli, Fishball, BeeHoon and Bittergourd can help them better understand one another and their friends. The team building session was facilitated by 12 people, including ex-NYGH students. Chan Yi, an ex-NYGH GE and HMP student was a “A” student from HCI who recently aced her “A” levels. Yunyu, a PRC scholar now studying in NUS was another facilitator. There were 6 facilitators from NTU, SIFE.
There were loads of laughter as games like “Who am I?”, “Pictionary” and others were played to foster greater team work and understanding of one another.
Here’s what Mr Benson Tay, the activity coordinator has to say about the session:
“The Yong Tau Foo mode of assessing leadership potential is an engaging and
invigorating approach towards helping an individual understand his/her
strengths and limitations as a leader. Pin Lay and her facilitators have
made the session enjoyable and memorable for the student participants.”
