It was one of those chance encounters that you meet when you are in Mongolia. The brief encounter with these two ponies inspired me to paint them.
The beauty of Chinese ink painting is such that you can use the brush in a variety of mediums. These are some sketches and paintings using ink on 157g of paper in my journal. The horse is one of the favourite animals in Chinese ink painting though I am not sure if painting a Mongolian Ger (their home) is as common.
